At DSC Dredge, we know designing and building the exact custom dredge that will boost your efficiency and lower your costs involves working with you and learning your story. The Wolverine Class is a compact dredge, ideal for sand and gravel producers and construction contractors. 

The Wolverine Class is a compact conventional dredge that offers single-truck portability in most areas of the world and is fully functional with just one operator. The Wolverine can reach dredging depths down to 25 feet (7.6 m) below the surface. It has a maximum particle size of 6 inches (150 mm) and is available with a 10-inch (250 mm) discharge configuration. Custom features and designs available.

Power

Radiator-cooled 440 hp Caterpillar diesel engine—providing power to the dredge pump, cutter drive and hydraulic winches.

Pump Technology

Powerful dredge pump, with service pump for flushing water to the dredge pump packing gland, sending water to the cutter drive bearings and for deck connections.

Base Model

Cast steel cutterhead, designed with six smooth blades—driven by a hydraulic motor that has variable speed capability and is reversible.

Three-section hydraulic pump—provides service to the cutter head motor, swing winches, spud winches and ladder winch.

100-gallon hydraulic system protected by relief valves—equipped with replaceable inline filters.

Two local contractors in Delta State, Nigeria, recently took delivery of 10-inch Wolverine Class Dredges, designed and manufactured by DSC Dredge at its Greenbush, Michigan, facility. A Delta State government plan has been put into motion to provide multi-millions of cubic meters of sand to be used for infrastructure improvement, while alleviating flooding problems. Dredging is the perfect solution to capture this sand as a valuable resource, and put it to use in the Asaba city center and outlying areas.

Coulee Frac Sand, based in La Crosse, Wisconsin, recently took delivery of a 10-inch Wolverine Class cutter suction dredge by DSC Dredge, LLC. The dredge, which was designed and manufactured at DSC Dredge’s Greenbush, Michigan, facility, is mining sand at the PineCrest Mine on the site of Doc’s Bunkhouse campground, near the town of Merrillan in central Wisconsin. ?As groundwater was encountered 6 feet below ground level, the company proposed mining the material through the use of a hydraulic dredge, with an onsite processing plant.
